Patricia M. Murret writes:
The Victims’ Rights Foundation of Gaithersburg promised a reward of up to $5,000 on Thursday for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the killers of a Langley Park teen whose body was found in Malcolm King Park in January.
Five weeks after the brutal stabbing of Dennis Guzman-Saenz, 15, of 14th Avenue, police said they are pursuing whether his death was connected to MS-13, or Mara Salvatrucha, a violent street gang whose origins run to Los Angeles. Deportations have resulted in increasing gang strength in El Salvador, where the teen lived until he and his two sisters joined their mother in Langley Park three years ago.
Note that the bank headline of this story says “Police confirm MS-13 connections”, even though the text of the article twice says only that the police are investigating the possibility of such a connection; I don’t know which representation is more accurate.
