- Meghan Tierney writes, Former minister sentenced to seven years for child abuse:
Timothy Chun-Chock Mann, 47, of Birmingham, Ala., pleaded guilty to one count of child abuse in Montgomery County Circuit Court on July 23, according to an online state court record database. He was sentenced to 13 years in jail with all but seven suspended, the maximum allowed under the plea agreement, according to attorney David Martella of the Law Offices of Barry H. Helfand in Rockville.
