• A residential burglary occurred in the 15700 block of Mahogany Circle in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, 4/29 between 7:10 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. Forced entry, cash taken.

• A theft from vehicle occurred on Bent Twig Lane in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, 5/6 around 1:15 a.m. when two men were observed breaking a window. Property was taken from the vehicle.

  Suspects: 2 W/Ms, 18-20 years, one wearing a black baseball cap and a white t-shirt.

P2 Beat:

• A commercial burglary occurred at the Amoco station, 12301 Darnestown Road in North Potomac on Tuesday, 4/29 around 5:00 a.m. No forced entry, property and cash were taken.
  Suspect: B/M crew cut, white “chef-type” coat, dark blue pants

• A vehicle was stolen from in the 200 block of North Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, 4/29 at an unknown time. The suspect broke the car window and drove away.

R1 Beat:

There were three residential apartment burglaries on Lost Knife Circle in Gaithersburg.

• Tuesday, 4/29 between 10:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m., 18400 block of Lost Knife Circle. No forced entry; nothing taken

• Friday, 5/2 at 2:40 p.m., 18400 block of Lost Knife Circle No forced entry, property taken.
• Tuesday 5/6 between 9:30 a.m. and 10:38 a.m., 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle. No forced entry, nothing taken

R2 Beat:

• A residential burglary occurred in the 9500 block of Stewartown Road in Gaithersburg on Monday, 5/5 around 7:20 p.m. A neighbor observed approximately ten B/M’s forcing entry. They were gone before the owner and MCP arrived. Nothing was taken.

• An attempted theft occurred in the 19600 block of Brassie Place in Gaithersburg on Sunday, 5/4 around 2:45 p.m. A citizen who saw the suspect attempting to force entry. The suspect fled before police arrived.
  Suspect: B/M 15-18 years, 150, dredlocks, white tank top, blue jeans, blue work gloves

• A theft from vehicle occurred in the 9400 block of Hickory View Place in Montgomery Village overnight on Monday, 5/5. Forced entry, property taken.
• A theft from vehicle occurred in the 19800 block of Goshen Road in Gaithersburg on Friday, 5/2. Property was taken. There were no signs of forced entry.
• A theft from vehicle occurred in the 9600 block of Duffer Way in Montgomery Village over the weekend between Friday, 5/2 and Monday, 5/5. Unknown entry, property taken.

S1 Beat:

• An attempted armed robbery occurred on Monday, 5/5 around 10:35 p.m. outside of the 400 block of Girard Street in Gaithersburg. The adult male victim was accosted by two suspects, one of whom was armed with a knife. The victim was struck several times with closed fists but no property was taken.
  Suspects: Two W/Ms, 19-21 years, in all black clothing.

• A strong-arm robbery occurred behind Gaithersburg Middle School, 2 Teachers Way in Gaithersburg on Saturday, 5/3 around 12:30 p.m. Two suspects approached with one grabbing the victim’s arms and the other searching his pockets. The victim began to fight back causing the suspects to flee. Cash was obtained as both suspects fled on foot towards North Summit Avenue.
  Suspect: B/M 18-22, 5’8”, 175, beard, corn rows, black shirt, grey pants
  Suspect: H/M 18-22, 5’4”, 200, white hat with “NY” on it

• A burglary was reported in the 600 block of South Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg on Monday, 5/5 between 7:40 and 7:50 p.m. Forced entry, nothing taken.
• A diversion theft occurred where an elderly female had her wallet stolen while shopping at the Giant Food, 16837 Crabbs Branch Way, on Saturday, 5/3 around 10:15 a.m. The suspect bumped into her cart as a diversion. He then went to the 7-11 on North Frederick Ave and made fraudulent purchases.
  Suspect: B/M 25-30 years, 6’0” to 6’2”, 210-215, beard & mustache, crew cut

S2 Beat:

• A vehicle was stolen from a parking lot in the 17100 block of Amity Drive in Gaithersburg between Friday, 5/2 at 10:00 p.m. and Sunday, 5/3 at 1:40 a.m. The car was recovered on Washington Grove Lane. Three suspects bailed out after wrecking the car.

  Suspect: H/M 13-16 years, 5’3” to 5’6”, 120-130

In another story posted this morning on Channel 4’s website, we learn:

Montgomery County police officers were called to the scene of a double stabbing inside a Gaithersburg apartment building on Thursday morning.

Authorities said the stabbing happened at about 6 a.m. in the 400 block of North Frederick Avenue.

According to a report on Channel 4’s website:

Police in Gaithersburg arrested a 19-year-old man on Wednesday in connection with several arsons in the area.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue units responded to a blaze at a townhouse at 19674 Club Lake Road in Gaithersburg at about 10 p.m. Tuesday.

Fire and explosive investigators identified 19-year-old Thomas Walter, who lives near the townhouse, as a person of interest during the investigation.

Walter is a volunteer member of the Gaithersburg Washington Grove Volunteer Fire Department.
